The Bachelor of Hospitality Management has been designed for individuals who recognise the need to develop themselves for successful leadership in contemporary hospitality organisations. The course will provide a strong background in all aspects of Hospitality Management.

Course structure
The Bachelor of Hospitality Management is a 360 credit point course requiring three years of full-time study or the part-time equivalent.
The degree has the following main components:
(i) a core program of 210 credit points (14 units)
(ii) a supplementary program of 150 credit points (10 units)
consisting of:
- a 10 unit major; OR
- a 6 unit minor and 4 electives; OR
- a 4 unit minor and 6 electives; OR
- two 4 unit minors and 2 electives; OR
- 10 electives
NOTE: All Bachelor of Hospitality Management students must complete a minimum of 75 credit points at third year level and no more than 150 credit points at first year level.
The core program comprises the following Introductory Business and Field Specific units for a total of 210 credit points:

- HOS1110 Introduction to Commercial Food Service Management I
- HOS1111 Hospitality Service I

- HOS2211 Hotel and Restaurant Information Systems II
- HOS2220 Rooms-Division Management II
- HOS3210 Hospitality Marketing III
- HOS3211 Management of Hospitality Finance III
- HOS3320 Hospitality Facilities Management III
- HOS3520 Hospitality Management III
Plus 1 unit selected from:
- HOS2300 Professional Hospitality Experience II
- HOS3111 Contemporary Issues in Hospitality Management III
Professional associations
The Bachelor of Hospitality Management is accredited by the Institute of Hospitality, a professional management association for managers in the hospitality, leisure and tourism industries. This entitles graduates to apply to the Institute for associate membership.
