The Bachelor of Information Systems aims to provide students with the concepts, analytical and developmental skills required for the information systems that underpin business computer systems and electronic commerce. The core units provide a foundation in the information systems areas of programming,
system design, database, and project management. The electronic commerce based units provide a foundation into the legal, marketing, design, security, implementation and management of networks for e-business. This program has a strong business orientation yet enables students to gain a deeper understanding of information systems and electronic commerce
Professional associations
The Australian Computer Society (ACS) has given full accreditation to courses offered by the School of Management. This entitles graduates of the Bachelor of Information Systems to apply to ACS for full professional membership.
Course structure
The Bachelor of Information Systems involves 24 units (360 credit points) and requires 3 years full-time or the part-time equivalent.
