“Studying business at ECU was one of the best decisions I have made career wise.”
“Not only has it enabled me to develop my theoretical skills it has provided me with the opportunity to make some life long friends and contacts who are either in a similar career or have the same aspirations. My current role at Unisys West as Manager of Service Delivery and Projects is the most exciting I have had since entering the workforce and I truly believe that my studies at ECU have helped me get to where I am and will be one of the driving forces of my career.”

"Flexible study options allowed me to juggle my work, home and social life."
"I was attracted to study planning at ECU because of the direct skills I can learn to set me up for a job in the industry. The one year diploma compliments my previous degree and is very flexible with both on and off campus units that allow me to juggle my work home and social life. I'm excited about the variety of jobs that will be available to me once I have finished and have the proper knowledge and experience under my belt."

“I needed a career change. Postgraduate studies at ECU helped to steer my life in a new direction.”
“After 11 years in the Navy, I chose the Grad Dip in Sports Management at ECU to get a career in sports management. The course at ECU provided me sound background knowledge of sports management as well as practical experience. After my studies I was approached by RugbyWA to take up a position there as Competition Manager. Since then I have been involved in the successful bid for the Western Force and moved into an Events Manager position. After 5 years at RugbyWA, I have recently moved to the WA Football Commission to take up the position of Events Manager at Subiaco Oval.”

“Experience counts in real life. It counts at ECU too.”
“I was conscious that I wanted to be studying in an environment that valued real-life experiences, and ECU provided just that. The practical units had the greatest impact on me as an HR Professional. Lecturers encouraged students to share their experiences, so we all had the opportunity to learn from each other. Plus the lecturing staff were great - very giving of their own time, and always available to answer questions on assignments, or provide additional assistance during exam preparation. I formed many friendships and networks during my time at ECU, most of which will be invaluable in years to come.”

“When the going got tough, I was glad I’d chosen ECU for my research.”
“Like any labour of love, research can be challenging. But the staff at ECU were always there when the going got tough. They mentored me throughout all the trials and tribulations – and also the joys! Although there were some pretty intense times, the sense of accomplishment that you feel when you complete a project is unbeatable. The other thing that made a real difference was access to excellent facilities.”
