Green Advantage for Small Business

Green Advantage for Small BusinessThis website contains valuable resources for helping small businesses reduce their environmental impact.

It is one of the outcomes from the Green Advantage for Small Business program that was delivered by ECU’s Small and Medium Enterprise Research Centre.

The program delivered practical tools and advice to small business managers and operators about how to effectively improve environmental management and identify cost saving benefits for their businesses.

Individually small businesses have an insignificant impact on the environment but collectively they leave a huge environmental footprint which could be as high as 60-70% of total pollution.

There are about 1.8 million small and medium size enterprises (SMEs) across Australia and the choices made by their owners and managers make a real difference to the environmental future of Australia.

While the program is now complete, SMERC would like to support the small business community by offering a range of valuable resources to help small businesses reduce their environmental impact and save money at the same time.
